Meet Dr. Gary J. Goebel
I’ve enjoyed practicing general dentistry in the Illinois Quad City area for over 30 years. With the opening of our new state-of-the-art father/son dental office in downtown Moline IL, however, I can honestly say that serving our patients’ dental needs has never been so satisfying! It is perhaps often a parent’s dream to have a son or daughter follow in his/her footsteps, but to actually have the opportunity to design, build and establish our new facility together is very special.
I am a lifelong resident of Moline, having graduated from Moline High School and the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. I’ve been married for 34 years to my wife, Catherine Carter Goebel, Augustana College art history professor and endowed chair, also from Moline. Our daughter, Katie, is currently completing her MA in art history at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.
A long-term member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society, I also served as president and on the board of directors for the Rock Island District Dental Society. As a lifelong resident of the Quad Cities, I care deeply about this community, and therefore also serve on several community boards and volunteer organizations. In my free time, I love to fish hunt, golf and travel.
